Brooks Leach
When Deal or No Deal producers called him in for a mock show in support of his brother-in-law, they didn’t realize they were about to Experience the natural comedic talent of Brooks Leach. After several hours of side-splitting hilarity, they flew Brooks in for a show.
Howie Mandel called the episode Brooks’ Party, and that’s exactly what it was. His brand of good ole boy country had Howie Mandel in stitches, who later commented that Brooks was his favorite contestant of all time. During the taping, the witty banter between Brooks and Howie flew like a high speed ping-pong game. In the history of Deal or no Deal only 5 out of 150 contestants have been chosen to play the entire hour of the episode, and Brooks is one of them. He bared his teeth at the banker, bulldogged Howie Mandel, and hugged as many girls as possible. And he lost. Big time. The models cried, the public grieved, but the ratings hit the roof. They called him back to play again, and once again, Brooks did not let them down.
Producers decided again that Brooks should be featured in the hour-long, 100th episode, which brought Brooks’ beautiful mug in the limelight of prime time TV for 2 full hours. In typical Brooks style, which the producers were counting on, Brooks did what Brooks wanted to do. He stormed into the bankers room, gave him a hug and handshake, and came out calling the Hogs. Everyone dropped their jaw in disbelief, cheered, and thought, Who is this guy? Well he’s Brooks Leach, and Brooks is not just a contestant; he’s a rock star waiting to happen. Brooks does and says what other people only think about. The plan to do a third show with Brooks is currently underway. Deal or No Deal producers recently traveled to Arkansas to film footage of Brooks for a future special episode.
The public loves Brooks. He’s appeared on local television news shows and radio stations, and he’s done talk radio guest appearances. Producers at NBC reported that they had the most responses about the show than they’ve ever received. Fans from across the nation are looking him up, writing letters, leaving MySpace comments, and emailing him like crazy. Brooks supports his community by appearing as a guest speaker at local high school events and is scheduled to highlight a charity benefit for Tuberous Sclerosis (TS) in the near future.
There is always a party when Brooks is around, and the party does not begin until he arrives. He has entertained his friends and family all his life, and he’s been told many times that he should do stand-up comedy. Brooks is hilarious. He makes everyone laugh. For many years, Brooks laughed off the suggestions to try his hand at comedy and chose instead to pursue a degree in Biology at the University of Central Arkansas, pledging Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity and later working at communications corporations in Texas, Arkansas, and Iowa.
